Answers to common questions, and a direct line to report issues.
How do I export my marked frames?
After marking stills or clips, tap the export button (top-right corner of the player). You'll be taken to the review screen where you can swipe through your selections. Swipe right to keep, left to discard. Once you've reviewed everything, tap Export to save your approved items to the FramePull album in your Photos library.
Where are my exported photos and clips saved?
Exported frames and clips are saved to a dedicated FramePull album in your iPhone's Photos app. If the album doesn't appear, make sure FramePull has permission to add photos (Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → FramePull → "Add Photos Only" or "Full Access").
How do I load a video from my Files or Camera Roll?
On the home screen, tap Choose from Files to pick a video from iCloud Drive or your local storage, or tap Choose from Photos to load a video from your Camera Roll or Photo Library.
What is Auto Magic?
Auto Magic automatically distributes a set number of stills and clips evenly across your video timeline. It uses the detected scene cuts to snap clips to natural boundaries. Set the counts you want, tap Auto Magic, then review and export as usual.
What does scene detection do?
When you load a video, FramePull scans it locally on your device for scene cuts — the moments where the camera angle or shot changes. These appear as markers on the timeline scrubber. Scene detection runs entirely on-device using Apple frameworks; no data leaves your phone.
How do I set a clip's In and Out points?
Scrub to the point where you want the clip to begin, then tap the IN button. Scrub to the end point and tap OUT. The clip segment will appear on the timeline. You can set multiple clips before exporting.
Can I use FramePull on iPad?
FramePull is currently iPhone-only. Native iPad support is planned for a future update.
What video formats are supported?
FramePull supports any video format that iOS can play, including MP4, MOV, and M4V. This covers most footage from iPhones, DSLRs, and drones.
