Recce Board is made by Carlo Oppermann. This policy says what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little.
What we collect
Nothing. The developer of Recce Board receives no data from the app. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app.
Where your boards live
Your boards — the shots, photos, notes, drawings, voice-overs and music you add — are stored on your device, and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. That is your Apple account, not ours. We cannot see it, and neither can Apple, beyond what is described in Apple’s own iCloud privacy terms.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, everything stays on the device and nothing leaves it.
Sharing a board
If you choose to share a board, a six-digit code is stored in a public Apple CloudKit database. That record contains the board’s title and a link that lets someone join the share. It expires after a week. Nothing else about the board is public, and the board’s contents remain in Apple’s shared-database mechanism between you and the people on the board.
If you enter your name on the Sharing screen, it is stored in the same public database under an anonymous iCloud identifier, so the others on your boards can see who’s there.
Don’t put anything in a board title or in your name that you wouldn’t want a stranger to read: both are stored in that public database.
Camera, microphone and photo library
The app asks for the camera to record shots, the microphone to record their sound and your voice-overs, and the photo library when you import from it. What these produce goes into your board, on your device and in your own iCloud. It is never sent anywhere else.
If you switch on saving captures to Photos, recordings are also written to your own photo library.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous version stays in the project’s public history.
